Samsung Must Surprise With Galaxy S5’s Camera

The future flagship phone of Samsung, Galaxy S5 is expected to be launched next year. To continue being the leading Android seller, this Korean giant will have to come up with some amazing features in this phone. One is the rear camera, which should offer a great quality to compete with other high-end devices.
And this is because of the amazing cameras offered by other manufacturers in this section. For example, the Nokia Lumia 1020 features a 41 megapixel camera sensor which really impresses. In addition, the recently announced LG G2 has taken important steps in improving the use of the camera and also the quality that it offers. Also, don’t forget the HTC Ultrapixel technology, which produces really great results. Therefore, Koreans cannot be conservative in this section and Galaxy S5 must surprise with its camera.
Even new iPhone and Nexus 5 are set to be launched before the end of this year, so they are definitely going to offer amazing cameras. So, Samsung will have to pack Galaxy S5 with a camera which is better not just from the current phones but from the phones that are yet to be launched as well.
Now, let’s take a look at what Samsung could do to offer a better camera in S5. They can follow the path of increasing the number of megapixels in the camera sensor but that’s not the most creative solution, since Nokia has taken a definitive step in this regard with its 41 Megapixel Lumia 1020. Therefore, increasing the megapixel count does not seem to be a good decision.
One possibility is to take advantage of the lessons learned from the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. It is true that this “experiment” does not seem to have generated great results, but it is true that it has proven some things.
For example, the integration of an optical zoom quality in a mobile device has proven to be useful. Problem with Galaxy S4 Zoom is that it looks too much like a camera. There is a very small market for such phones. So, they will have to bring the technology of S4 Zoom in Galaxy S5 without giving it the looks of a digital camera. If Samsung can achieve it and the quality of the camera sensor is increased then Galaxy S5 could offer lot more possibilities and could compete with its rivals.
As per the Galaxy S5 camera rumors, Samsung is going to incorporate 16 Megapixels rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera in Galaxy S5. If we go with rumors, this camera will offer optical image stabilizer and a 6x zoom with 10x optical zoom. It will also offer 1080p HD video recording.
In short, the Samsung Galaxy S5 must offer a greater innovation, that’s for sure and the camera should be a component that surprise. But instead of adding a feature which is not useful, they should focus on increasing the quality of its camera. That’s all from us, now it’s your turn.
